Description
Features:
- Low viscous, pre- accelerated, promoted, thixotropic, medium reactive DCPD polyester resin. An low styrene emission (LSE) system has been incorporated.
- Resinpal 1714 does not contain monomeric amines.
- Resinpal 1714 has been especially developed for hand lay-up, vacuum, and spray-up applications to produce high performance constructional laminates.
- This polyester resin shows very good fibre wetting and impregnation properties. Thick laminates can be made in one go due to the low exothermic heat development, good through cure and low shrinkage.
- A colour change system (peroxide based) is present for the benefit of spray-up and hand lay-up applications.
- This polyester resin can be used with powder and emulsion bound mats.
- Resinpal 1714 combines good mechanical properties with optimal processability.
Application:
- Ready-to-use for spray-up, vacuum and hand lay-up procedure.
- The polyester resin Resinpal 1714 contains a peroxide indicator that after addition of ketone peroxides causes a color change from blue to brown green. The processor is thereby possible to control the addition of hardener.
- The polyester resin Resinpal 1714 contains components that lead to both reduced styrene emissions, as well as a tack-free cure.
- The curin of the polyester resin Resinpal 1714 can take place at room temperature with the addition of MEKP-hardener). The tempetarture should be above 18 ° C.
Storage:
- The polyester resin should be stored in a dark and dry place at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C.
