Resinpal glass filament fabric in plain weave with a weight of ??390 g/m², is mainly used in mold making and boat building for the lamination of larger components that have particularly stable and flat surfaces. In contrast to twill weave, the plain weave is more resistant to movement and is characterized by a more even warp-weft crossing. The reinforcement fiber in plain weave is particularly suitable for components with less pronounced geometric structures.
The plain weave is a symmetrical weave in which a weft thread only crosses a warp thread. Glass filament fabric in plain weave offers optimal dimensional stability and hardly frays when cut. The fabric cannot be draped into a shape as easily as filament fabrics in twill weave, which, however, do not have such high resistance to movement. The glass filament fabric with a surface weight of 390 g / m² and with long-segment E-glass fibers impresses with its outstanding impregnation properties and optimal surface stability. You get high-quality and stable laminates with a fine finish. Glass film fabric can be processed with epoxy or polyester resin. The resin consumption is around 0.6 - 0.8 kg/m².
