Sealing and casting - This complete package combines the two crucial products that determine the best end result when casting wood up to 5 centimeters thick.
In order to avoid the outgassing of the wood and the resulting air bubbles, we developed Epoxy Topcoat Resinpal 2405-H, which of course should not be missing in this set. Before casting, the crystal-clear spreadable resin is applied with a brush to the areas that are to be cast. This will seal the wood. After Resinpal 2405-H has hardened (24 hours), the actual casting process can begin.
The crystal-clear and low-odour epoxy casting resin Resinpal 1717 included in the set is UV-resistant, solvent-free and low-shrinkage. Due to the very long open time and the slow, continuous curing over 48 hours, very good ventilation and low exothermicity are ensured. With our epoxy casting resin Resinpal 1717, crystal clear castings are child's play.
How high is the consumption of Epoxy Topcoat Resinpal 2405-H? To prevent the wood from outgassing and the resulting air bubbles after casting, the wood should be sealed beforehand. To seal wood with Resinpal 2405-H you need approx. 0.5 kg/m².
What can I cast with Resinpal 1717? Whether crown corges, crockery or memorabilia. There are no limits to your imagination here.
How strong is the odor development during processing? The low-odour processing with epoxy resins is a great advantage over polyester resins.
Can I also color the Resinpal 1717 casting resin? Yes, Resinpal 1717 can be colored with our epoxy color pastes and translucent colors.
