Resinpal glass filament fabric in plain weave with a weight per unit area of ??80 g/m² is ideal for the production and repair of light and filigree components with flat surfaces. It is mainly used in model aircraft and boat models. The plain weave is characterized by its high resistance to movement inside the fabric.
In addition to the particularly high structural strength compared to glass fiber mats, the glass fiber content is also higher. As a result, less resin is required for processing. Glass filament fabric can be processed with epoxy or polyester resin. The resin consumption is approx. 0.5 kg/m². Even if glass filament fabrics are more expensive than glass fiber mats, the price pays for itself due to the simpler processing and the less resin required.
